Game Ideas for a Bridal Shower
Are you planning a bridal shower for your best friend, sister, or cousin? Do you want to make it a memorable and fun event that everyone will enjoy? If so, you might want to include some games and activities that will break the ice and keep the guests entertained. Bridal shower games are a great way to get to know each other better, celebrate the bride-to-be, and have some laughs along the way. In this blog post, I will share with you some of the best bridal shower games and activities that you can try at your next party.
1. The Lingerie Game
This game is perfect for a lingerie-themed bridal shower, but you can also play it with any kind of gift. The idea is to ask each guest to bring a gift that matches their personality and style, and then have the bride guess who each gift is from. You can blindfold the bride or send her to another room while you hang the gifts on a clothesline or display them on a table. Then, have the bride come back and try to match each gift with the person who brought it. This game is a fun way to test how well the bride knows her friends and family, and also give her some new items for her honeymoon.
2. Where in the World is the Couple?
This game is ideal for a travel-themed bridal shower, or if the couple loves to explore new places. The goal is to have the guests guess where each picture of the couple was taken. You can print out some photos of the couple at different locations and hang them up with numbers. Then, give each guest a sheet of paper and have them write down their guesses for each photo. You can use the master list from the bride to check the answers and award the person with the most correct guesses a travel-related prize.
3. Wedding Movie Charades
This game is a classic that never gets old. It’s perfect for movie buffs and fans of romantic comedies. The rules are simple: divide the guests into two teams and have one person from each team pick a card with a wedding movie title. Then, they have to act out a scene from that movie without speaking, while their teammates try to guess the movie within a time limit. You can use cards with movies like The Wedding Planner, My Best Friend’s Wedding, Bridesmaids, The Proposal, etc.
4. Guess How Many Candies
This game is easy to set up and play, and it also adds some sweetness to your party. All you need is a large jar filled with candies of your choice (you can use the bride’s favorite candy or something related to the theme of the party) and a sign that says “Guess How Many”. Then, have each guest write down their name and their guess on a piece of paper and drop it in a bowl. At the end of the party, reveal the actual number of candies in the jar and announce the winner who guessed closest to it. You can give them the jar as a prize or another candy-themed gift.
5. Vow Mad Libs
This game is hilarious and creative, and it also gives the bride some inspiration for her wedding vows. The idea is to print out some traditional vows and leave blank spaces for nouns, verbs, adjectives, etc. Then, have one person ask each guest for a word to fill in the blanks without telling them what it’s for. Once all the blanks are filled, have the bride read out loud the resulting vows. You can expect some funny and outrageous sentences that will make everyone laugh.
