Best Man Speech - Free Example
Check out our free example of a best man speech. A great template to tweak and personalise. Good luck… and remember, you were chosen because YOU are the BEST MAN for the job. You’ve got this!!!
Hello, everyone. I’m Tom, the best man, and I’m honored to be here today to celebrate the marriage of my best friend, Mike, and his lovely wife, Zara.
I’ve known Mike since we were kids. We grew up together, went to school together, and played in the same football team. We’ve shared many memories, some good, some bad, and some downright hilarious. Mike has always been a loyal, generous, and fun-loving friend. He’s also been a bit of a troublemaker, but I won’t embarrass him with any stories today. Maybe later at the bar.
Mike is also a very smart and talented guy. He has a successful career as an engineer, and he’s always working on some new project or invention. He’s also very passionate about music, and he plays the guitar like a pro. He even wrote a song for Zara, which he performed at their engagement party. It was beautiful and romantic, and it made everyone cry. Well, except me. I’m too tough to cry.
But Mike is not only a great friend and a great person; he’s also a great husband. He loves Zara with all his heart, and he treats her like a queen. He’s always there for her, supporting her, encouraging her, and making her laugh. He’s also very attentive and thoughtful. He knows how to surprise her with flowers, chocolates, or tickets to her favorite show. He even learned how to cook her favorite dish, which is quite impressive, considering he used to burn toast.
Zara, you are a very lucky woman to have Mike as your husband. You are also a very brave woman to take on me as your best man. But seriously, Zara, you are a wonderful woman. You are beautiful, kind, funny, and adventurous. You have achieved so much in your life, and I’m very proud of you. You are my friend, my sister-in-law, and my star.
I remember the first time I met Zara. She came over to our flat for dinner, and she was very nervous. She tried to impress me with her knowledge of football, but she didn’t know that I love football. She also tried to compliment me on my cooking, but she didn’t know that I had ordered takeout. She was so sweet and sincere, though, that I couldn’t help but like her.
Since then, Zara has become a part of our family. She has been there for Mike through thick and thin. She has supported him in his career, encouraged him in his hobbies, and comforted him in his sorrows. She has also been there for me and my wife, helping us with various chores, joining us for family outings, and listening to our stories. She has shown us nothing but love and respect.
Zara, I’m honored to call you my sister-in-law. You are more than just a wife to Mike; you are also a friend, a partner, and a soulmate. You have made him the happiest man in the world, and I can’t thank you enough for that.
Mike and Zara, you are a perfect match. You share the same values, the same interests, and the same dreams. You complement each other’s strengths and weaknesses. You bring out the best in each other. You have a wonderful relationship based on trust, honesty, and love.
As you start your new life together as husband and wife, I have some advice for you. First of all, always communicate with each other. Don’t let any misunderstandings or arguments ruin your harmony. Talk to each other openly and respectfully. Listen to each other attentively and empathetically. Understand each other’s feelings and needs.
Secondly, always support each other. Don’t let any challenges or difficulties discourage you. Stand by each other firmly and faithfully. Help each other grow and learn. Inspire each other to achieve your goals and dreams.
Thirdly, always cherish each other. Don’t let any routine or boredom dull your passion. Appreciate each other gratefully and generously. Surprise each other with small gestures and big gifts. Celebrate each other’s successes and milestones.
And lastly, always love each other. Don’t let any distance or time diminish your affection. Express your love daily and sincerely. Kiss each other tenderly and passionately. Hold each other closely and warmly.
Mike and Zara, I wish you all the happiness in the world. May your marriage be filled with joy and peace. May your love be strong and everlasting.
Please join me in raising a toast to the bride and groom.
To Mike and Zara! 🥂
